The deal with Alens' slow uphill wipers is almost cetainly incorrect

pump , they're not designed to provide vacuum at idle speds , the
engine does that .

I hooked it up per the Chevrolet Accessory Manual. And it matches your
description. Checked and rechecked. The pump sucked per the
instructions (pull the line and take a measurement or something like
that). I am running dual Rochester carbs but that shouldn't effect the
pump. No vacuum reservo
