Ken, with out he offset washer the bolt will turn when tighten the nut, The head of the bolt has a carriage bolt square that fits into the washer. By having the hole off set from the center will cause the washer to bind up in the counter sink, letting you tighten the nut. Mike 50 3100 H

ken i bought all ss hardware from these guys http://www.boltdepot.com/ for a third of what old truck suppliers wanted. i bought these in boxes of 100, vs the 60 bolt sets they suppy. i bought ss fender and step bolts at the same time my truck is not stock, so i hid the big bolts and did not need
