Wouldn't the simplest way to determine this be in finding a build sheet, and wouldn't the 425 have to be a numbers matching engine? Seems this would be the easiest way to prove it. Just a thought... Tim

I think what we are saying is...if Olds did run low on the new 400 motor to put in the car for its early production...that maybe...just maybe they did put the 425 motors in some. I thinks thats all some are saying. They didn't run out of 400Es, and I'm sure the CEO of Olds would fire his

I thought I read, a Qjet could out perform the old tri-power, which is why they stopped building them. Now a dual quad is another thing. Nope. I have no idea as to the real reason the tri-power was offered as an option for only 1966 and was avialable as a dealer parts package for 1967. It

I said something similar a few days ago about build sheets and window invoice stickers and dealer sales invoices. Remember the saying, Show me the money!? All I'm saying is, Show me the option code! It can't be built on the assembly line or added on by the dealer without an option code.

I never meant that Yenko and Harrell were the only ones who got COPOs. Once Yenko started the ball rolling, all of the Chevy dealers wanted in on the action. It was money. This was a bit removed from the original arguement to begin with. Once the muscle car craze started, all car
