In SL there was an inworld tool that enabled you to do just that. I seem to
remember that it invoved being in contact (sitting on, attaching, etc) a
phantom prim.

The workflow that most 3dsmax users use is to employ the Lumonix Puppetshop
plugin (free) to rig bipeds for SL/Opensim in Max, then use bvhacker to clean
up the resulting bvh file.

A very interesting event.
Basically a whole year of MBA students analysed the VW and Gaming Industry to
see what the trends were, the strategies employed, their take on those
strategies, keys to success for the future, and various forecasts, across a
range of sectors within this industry.
Hi guys,
I have decided to leave the Opensim project. You will probably not even notice
if I leave, as not being a programmer my only inputs were the writing of the
step-by-step tutorials ( http://chapter-and-metaverse.blogspot.com/ ), the
drafts of the OpenSim User Manual on the Forge, and
Ouch Michael, you cut me to the quick :)
The 3rd draft of the OpenSim User Manual I posted 29th Jan this year
(unfortunately, despite a team being created, no-one added to it); my last
Opensim tutorial I posted in Aug 2009 (Streaming Audio); I made blog posts
about Opensim as recently as Sep
Still no joy for me.

Any losses would occur in OpenSim code, I believe.

By using a RAW file it is possible to get a water level up to 255m and land up
to 510m (for those who wish to really have deep sea sims (well, 255m IS deep if
you have been restricted to 20m for a long time!).
The only problem is the mismatch between the sea level in the region, and the
into the core distribution.

I think what all parties need to do is to ignore the dispute for a little

There is also the question of compatibility with LSL. Questions have been
raised about whether Opensim can be used as a development tool for SL. Here is
one thread that calls compatibility into question:
functions that should be implemented. Perhaps others could comment on
this and help us get closure on this year and a half long project of
implementing these functions.

Hi,
Someone has sent me this link for a possible blog article. However, I don't
think this would make a suitable article, but I would be interested in the
views of any of the devs on the claimed vulnerabilities.
Won't this also force grids to do what SL do and forbid users to transfer their
accounts/log in details to someone else (and hence all their inventory)?
Why do I get the feeling that we are starting to wade in mud?

Hi,
I have been thinking about writing a Business Case for OpenSim. A Business Case
is the feasibility study performed before a full Business Plan is written, and
is equally applicable to opensource 'products'.
If such a Case has not been written before, then I would be prepared to write
