as Rohit mentioned the objective of that is to avoid exactly what you want
i.e, app sending the msg. They want to ensure user has control on "sending
messages" and app shouldnt misbehave with spam msgs representing the user.
this is v good for the overall health of the app space...

It is right that In case recipient is VIEWER or OWNER, it
would not ask you to add in the user names. but shows the dialogue box
to add message.
But I don't want dialogue box,because I have already set recipient(may
be viewer or owner or array of friend id) and message body

i thought orkut by itself adds an update about an user installing an
application to all his freinds.
but as my friends add my app, i dont see any updates about it showing
up on my "updates from my friends" feed, though they have set their
updates to be shareable with friends.
