The feature html-composer doesn't seem to be in the gadget spec (

in the opensocial spec. It's not in the Shindig server either, so I'm
affraid you can't use it for now.
Probably someone responsible for the specs should be

That is indeed how it should work, not sure whether it actually works that
way on Orkut right now.

This is possible in opensocial 0.7, (which will go live on orkut this
Friday, I believe). See the spec for details:

The last couple of days, the Tabs feature has been merged into shindig
(either completed yet, or about to be completed one of these days). Since
Orkut runs on shindig, I expect the tabs feature to become available there
soon afterwards, depending on how often Orkut updates their shindig

Whether you can get these fields will depend
on the container, please see Arne's very elaborate reponses to this thread:

Actually, both options will most likely make it into the 0.7 spec.
Obviously, it's then up to the container to decide what to do with the
requests: always allow them, always block them, ask the user for
confirmation.
Also, some containers will only support scraps, where others might only
support pr
No
This is functionality that will most likely make it into 0.7

The opensocial data APIs will allow for that, but they are still in the
early stage of development. It seems google & partners first want to get the
opensocial javascript API right, and only then so the data API (which makes
some sense to me). No timepath for the data API has been given yet.
Orkut
You can't.
OpenSocial is still in beta @ orkut (and everywhere else), so no
gadgets can be made available to the public yet.

This issue already came up a couple of times: no, email is not being exposed
in most opensocial containers due to privacy/anti-spam reasons.

At the moment, you cannot. The focus for opensocial right now is (and should
be I believe) getting to a 1.0 version everyone can support easily.
Extending functionality towards communities/groups/photos/videos/etc will
come after that (at least, that's what I think what should happen). You can

At the moment, nothing that is not at
http://code.google.com/apis/opensocial/docs/, is not supported in 0.6, which
means, no photos. I expect photos to become available very shortly after the
1.0 release, since most containers have photos and there is little extra
work in getting them to work -- bu
This is an ajax question rather than opensocial. The problem is that XMLHttp
will not allow you to do cross-domain requests.
The correct way to get data from an url is to use the IG_get* functions
(which have been/will be renamed for the 0.7/0.8 version)

It seems logical that that decision is entirely to the container. Some
containers may have the "newest on top".
Even if you were talking about a specific container, I'd say it's not an
opensocial issue.

Firstly, as you can see [1] adjusting frameheight is on the list for
opensocial 0.7 (opensocial 0.6 was just announced yesterday, Orkut still
only supports opensocial 0.5). Some containers do support frameheight
change, but this is outside the opensocial spec, so you'll probably have to
change it f
Ik think it should work to submit the form to a (hidden) iframe on your page
-- you'd have to play a little with a way to get the feedback though; I
don't think submission of files is allowed through AJAX requests.
