It is time to create Companion DVD which will contain all newtest versions of

Thanks for this excellent idea.

My question is how far along is Portage from the Gentoo guys in OpenSolaris?
It is suppose to be an officially supported arch. I really would like to see
something like that in use.

Regarding defining problems we need to solve, scope is probably
something that should be discussed

Neither Sunfreeware not Blastwave has this as they both
supply only binaries.
Having a buld system that deals with fetching the original

netoffice.sf.net allows you to track the progress of projects and even
upload documents to add to those projects. If someone provides the server I
will be more than happy to admin the software. Use it here a lot at work

Ok maybe Steve can create a plan on
Hi everyone,
I'm working on a plan for participation by Sun engineers at various
conferences in the coming months. Here is a list of conferences at
which we *hope* to have an (Open)Solaris presence (now through June
2006). What do you think? Are we missing any critical ones? Are there

Hi Theo,
We're not sure yet. We plan to have a BoF, but we also hope to give a
talk or two. Do you have a talk scheduled? Would you be willing to
join us at the BoF?

Good input David. I'll add it to the list and see how it flies.

Clearly we will want a central download site. Whether this is on
opensolaris.org, genunix.org or elsewhere needs to be determined. I
don't know what sort of hardware or bandwidth those sites now have or
can be made to have. Dennis and I both have major archives already
and so we (not speaking

Anything would be nice. I'm not looking for nostalgia but a
picture for reference..
