Another thing, when I mount a FAT32 with mount -F pcfs I can not copy large files, greater than ~2GB. The are error msgs file to large. This error also applies if I try to place the file on NTFS (from within XP) and copy it from there. I can not copy large files to UFS or to ZFS. I believe

Orvar, I use mplayer myself to play video on Nevada build 66. As Andras mentioned, you could build mplayer yourself with the same toolkit as the GNOME-on-solaris team uses. The only small problem with Mplayer is that it: a) crashes often on Solaris b) doesn't support any kind of

Ok, I just installed mplayer from blastwave and it seems to work fine, although some file types were not playable. gmplayer is the gui version and it seems to be an ok substitute for vlc? We'll see later, when I'd tested it a bit. This message posted from opensolaris.org

Ok, I tried to use mucommander which is a norton commander clone. mc - midnight commander from blastwave works too but not as good as mucommander for copying ntfs. mc tries to copy files from ntfs to zfs, and when the ntfs mount starts to show problems, mc breaks and quit the copying
