I am facing issue while product test with different time zone option.
Time zone with Asia/Calcutta & GMT+5:30 shows 11 hrs difference.
$ TZ=Asia/Calcutta
$ export TZ
$ date
Fri Jun 13 10:39:04 IST 2008
$ TZ="GMT+5:30"
$ export TZ
$ date
Thu Jun 12 23:39:19 GMT 2008
$

Updating to build 90 using 'pkg' command causes lots of things to break.
This has happened to me on two different PCs, so it is not just a one-off.
Vanilla install of OpenSolaris 2008.05 (Indiana) from live CD, then #pkg
image-update from terminal will update the system to build 90, giving you

There is an updated driver on the packager server that will probably help. I
had a similar issue and mine was fixed with the latest update. But that
doesn't really help you with running from the live CD.

Maybe
You are over-complicating things, all you need to do is fire up the Package
Manager and install the OpenOffice package, or from the command line you can do
this:
$ pfexec pkg install openoffice
That's it...
