Guys:
Just as a point of interest, I upgraded this a.m. and restarted the X

I'm with you, Glen. Eclipse 3.3 on openSuse 10.2 just sucks. I
presume it would be the same on 10.3. I find nothing wrong with Java
1.6. I've been using 1.6 features for many months without ANY
problems. The major problem with Eclipse is they ship their own jvm
if I recall correctly. And stuf
And because Kai is quite an advanced openSuse user and has been for a
number of years!!
It was really quite funny!

SUSE always has screwed up the Java implementation. Do you know the
reason why SUSE/Novell can't install Java where it belongs? When I
get it from the source it installs to /usr/java/jdkx. It is easy
to update when The Project releases an update and it "just works" with
no hassle
he thread I can always scroll down to refresh my mind --
which is MY problem, not the other poster's. So I always top post and
I want everybody else to top post.
There, I've come out of the closet!

My experience is that if the projector is plugged in while the laptop
boots, it will display fine but that is the only display you will
have. The laptop display will be black! If you can live with that,
there is no problem. Alternatively, if you must show the boot
process, boot it, take
Thanks, Patrick. I probably would never have looked for it in that package.

I just moved to a machine with 10.2 from 10.0 and kdict no longer
works. I have installed everything KDE but it is still not there.
I'm crippled without kdict! How do I get it back?
Thanks.

Bottom posting may have had a place in the 80's and 90's but I doubt

Hi Sandy:
I put the certificate in /etc/ssl/certs.
There is nearly nothing in my /etc/imapd.conf. No instructions or
samples of what should be there.
Thanks for any help.
Chuck.

Konqueror is a better ftp application than gftp. When I first had a
problem with gftp not working in SUSE somebody was kind enough to
point me to using Konqueror and I will never go to any other ftp
client.
In the command line: ftp://[EMAIL PROTECTED] connects you to whatever
server you
hanks for assistance.

I recommend you go directly to Sun to get the java packages. They've
done a nice job of making it easy. www.java.sun.com. Go to
www.java.net to get the current version of J2SE 6. It is very usable.
