The major fix done is that the update adds better Laptop support to the bigsmp
kernel.

We have done some -fstack-protector evaluations.
- Performance as benchmarked.
We used SPEC2000 for this, both int and float.
There were only insignificant changes (<1%) in
both size and speed of the testcases.
- Binary / RPM Sizes
