Hi,
I'm trying to get the news-example that comes with orion to work on a
linux machine using IBM DB2 (v7.1, Fixpack 4) as a data-source.
Deploying & auto-creating tables work just fine, but invoking the
application in a brwoser with "http://myhost:8080/news/"; results in
following exception:

I think for part 2. the port number 8080 maybe wrong, i don't specify a
port number when using admin.jar
example : java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost admin niloc -deploy -file
H:\dev\soap\rel\soap.ear -deploymentName soap
so i think it uses the default port number for ormi..

I have two problems with the orionserver.
1. Orion takes not implicit the pageContext instance in the JSP-page.
There are exist a solution for this problem ?
2. I want restart my orionserver:
java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost:8080 admin 123 -restart
Error: javax.naming.NamingException:
I'm using Foundry (a layer 7 switch)... works nice, supports sticky
sessions, etc.

Dear All,
I'm having problems with load-balancing a single island of two orion
appservers. I have followed the instructions from the clustering 'howto'
document, and I've made changes to the relevant XML files. Note, I made the
changes to the default web app files, rather than to the XML files
Does anybody know what could cause a javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: not found? I think my .xml files are fine, and I think this used
to work!
Also, I'm getting a message: cmp-field 'carrier_id' not found in class

If the are flag or option to use my settings???
Thanks

Karl,
Thanks for the quick response.
We assumed (by we I am referring to my development staff) that the SIGBUS
10* bus error was definately JVM related, and determined that things such as

I've used Orion with success on Windows 98, NT and Intel Linux. I'd like to
also use it on Solaris 2.7.
I set up an Orion installation with 1.0rc1 in my HOME directory. The JVM in
use is:
$ java -version
java version "1.2.1"
Solaris VM (build Solaris_JDK_1.2.1_04c, native threads, sunwjit)

Everyone,
I used Orion 0.8-something for a while, and I don't remember any auto-reload
problems. Now I'm using Orion 0.9.4, and auto-reloading hardly ever seems to
work for recompiled Java classes.
The classes are simply used from Java code within JSP pages. Usually with
0.9.4, when I recompile

Hello all,
First of all, keep up the good work on Orion, it's a fine J2EE
server! Having pounded on it a lot lately, I wanted to share
some findings and ask the community and developers for
clarification
1) I have used a javax.sql.DataSource (JDBC, no pooling)
and com.evermind.sql.DefaultCo
