and selecting Vorticity, this result doesn't become available. On the
other hand Q Criterion becomes available under the right moniker...

Just to add the problema was solved.
I've rerun ccmake and replaced the default value of the variable
CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER=/usr/bin/c++
by
CMAKE_CXX_COMPILER=/usr/bin/mpic++
and it compile without any problem.

I've tried compiling the git source on a 32 and a 64 bit machine. Both
run debian testing.
I've tried with MPI2PY ON and OFF
I'm using MPI YES, Python YES
Both stop with the error (see attach)
Any ideas?

always had to start an xserver (if you have more than 1 GPU you can add
device and screen sections has needed to xorg.conf). I've been using this
to render using Tesla cards.
Off course this needs to start X...
