You all should try things before you proclaim them inaccessible. I've been using a first generation Ipod since it came out. The hardest thing to use is the Itunes software, but if you choose the Anapod software, it's as accessible as Windows Explorer. - Original Message - From:

The Ipod isn't a CD player, so no you can't do that with CD's. Yes, look at the descriptions of the different models and most if not all will be compatible with Windows, which simply means they can be formatted for Windows or the Mack. - Original Message - From: Kurt E. Yount [EMAIL

A techy question re mp3 file creation and playback

2005-03-14 Thread Donald L. Roberts
Hello, When I record NLS tapes, I create .wav files at 16000 KHZ, 32 bit using Goldwave 5.10. Then, to compensate for the double speed recording, I change the sampling rate to 16 bit so the recordings will play at normal speed. On a couple of occasions when creating mp3 files with C D E X,

Hi, Donald, Are you sher you're telling it right? The bit rate has nothing to do with the speed, the sampling rate does. The bit rate deals with resolution of dynamics and such. Instead, is this what you do: you record the nls tape at twice the normal speed and use a sampling rate of 32000, 16-bit

There two possible problems assuming the speaker cables are good and properly connected. 1: in volume controls, under properties, you may have checked the mute for stereo mixer but not for mono. Second, in the audio settings for speaker set up, you may have the wrong speaker choice checked.
