You don't have to do anything with the player, but, for example, I use
Windows Media to sync my netlibrary files to the player. If I have my SD
card in then I have to tell windows on which drive to put my files. It
won't carry over. If you are transferring a file to the internal player and

my Start menu and a link to Register Sony DirectX Audio Plug-Ins. That did
the trick.

Tim, thanks for the answer. One last question, I promise.
How does the player handle the additional memory when installed? Is every
thing seamless to the user, or do you have to use the player's menu system
to switch back and forth between the built-in memory and the installed sd
card?
Ok. I just realized I was confusing the Plugin chainer with the Preset
manager. I must have installed the Preset Manager recently, not the plugin
chainer. Is the plugin chainer just a part of Sound Forge?
Anyway. I pressed alt-0 while in the data window and that fixed the problem

Hi Robert,
The libraries are partially correct, but, as part of their contract with

Sorry Darrel. I don't know yet how to remove the plugin chainer. I wish I
hadn't installed the darn thing.
I meant that I don't think the Plugin chainer is registered with Sony.
However, that might not be why I get those beep tones when I us3e smooth

Smaller files would certainly be the appropriate solution and I have suggested
this to the Vancouver Public Library and my local Fraser Valley Library but
they say they only purchase distribution rights from Net Library and have no
input as to the format and file structure they use.
I find this
I know it sounds like that but you don't. The player's internal memory
appears as one drive and if you get a mc card it appears as another.

Well, then, perhaps I should buy DVD, or a similar product, before buying
Replay AV. (Actually, first, I need to buy a DVD drive. but, right now, I'm
just researching what all I will want, and don't plan to start making
purchases till the end of the year or the beginning of the new year.) any

Hi David
You don't need to worry about the relay stuff.
in the shoutcast plugin the only information needed is the following
*the ip address or internet address and the port number given to you
by ultrahost. so in the appropriate boxes, fill in the information
given to you.

yes thats correct unless you just want to record the audio while playing the
dvd wich i've done several times. using replay av for this is actually very
easy because you can set the record timer and have it converted to what ever
you want when its finnished.

Am I correct in my understanding that the full Replay AV suite does NOT
include a tool to rip DVD audio to, for example, .wav files, and that I
would still need something like DVD Extractor for that job?

I have the Audigy 4 Pro and am fairly happy with it. Some of the included

I don't know how useful this will be but I found this on sale at a best buy

I know someone's told me how to do this in the past, it might even
have been Dave T., but my befuddled elderly brain seems to have lost
the link to that particular synaptic web page, so here goes again.

Recently, I've noticed an increasing number of music CDs for sale that are
described as "hybrid" CDs. What does this designation mean: that they will
play in both CD and DVD players; or what?
It doesn't seem to be that they contain both CD audio, and DVD video tracks
