OhI know it treats any USB headset as such as
another device, sound card, and the volume
control sees another device, so if you go to
volume control and select your USB headset, you
should be able to handle the controls there, fine.

Hello Dan,
I have my computer and stereo system hooked up like that right now.
But only, I'm using an old Fisher 500-c stereo receiver that has vacuum

My speakers are comprised of 2 Jensen P12N alnico drivers in each cab that
are crossed over to 20 HZ for
I would think that the stereo should have a digital input then, huh?

Hello Curtis,
The answer to that question on both accounts, is no.
Here is the reason why.
Your USB headphone microphone combo is using a digital to analog converter.
I done some explaining a while back on this list to a gentleman that wanted
to hook his stereo amp up to his computer.
But in
Hello Howard,
Yes, you can buy a stereo receiver that has a digital input.
But don't go to places like Wal-Mart and or RadioShack to look for this kind
of a beast, because you won't find it there.
Those receivers are about $1500 and up.
And they are made by companies like Dennon Onkeo Marance
I have a pair of Shure D55 dynamic mics that I bought in 1963. I'd like to
use them for session-type recording into my sound max integrated sound card.
Currently, I was thinking of plugging the mics into a Pioneer tape deck and
taking the output from that into the sound card's input. Does
Though, in the past fifty years, I've had Mac and Marance, I don't think
I'll be buying any of those very soon. Getting older, I'm loosing the high
frequencies and the tunitis is messing up the rest. So I'll be using my

Hello Howard,
That idea will work but, the cassette deck will have to be on record in
order for it to work.
But now, the draw back with your Sound Max intigrated sound card is, you
can't monictor the recording while it's being made.
Just something for you to think about.

Hi all,
I would go for Replay Media Catcher from www.applian.com. If all you
want to do is download from Youtube then the free demo will be enough
for you. For other videos you may want to pay so that the other half
gets captured.
Hope this helps.

Hi all!
I have a question for you guys, for a couple of weeks ago, I downloaded a
program from a friends website, called WebbIE, which is a podcature for
downloading podcasts. now, when I try to install it, it's saying, this program
is not a valid win32 program. I'm using windows XP, and I'd
check the switch position on the side to se if it is in the microphone
position.
