Hello Listers,
I recently installed GoldWave version 5.70 on my windows 7 64 bit laptop. When
I start recording, after a few seconds or so it brings up a control dialog with
a play button a rewind button and so on. How can I keep it from doing this?
Using jaws 13.
Thanks
Michael
Greetings,
Thanks for the info.
You could, I believe, have saved yourself all the problems, by before
installing the new version, saving your settings, then when the new version
had been installed, importing the old settings file. This usually works for
me.
Far as I remember, this is achieved
out of
the abundance of caution.
Best regards,
Rob Jayhawk Tabor

I discovered that upgrading to and installing the current version had
changed the settings in the device tab so that either the wrong speakers

the wrong recording device
After installing the current version of GoldWave and registering last night,
I'm suddenly unable to record. Instead of the sound I intend to record or
the silence discussed in the manual troubleshooting section, I get the kind

I've figured out how to make a recording, but the level of the recorded file
is fairly low.
I'd like to know how to ajust the line-in recording level, and also any tips

HI LIST. WHEN I RECORD USING STERIO MIX THE PLAYBACK BOLUME IS VERY LOUD AND
ALLMOST DISTORTED. EVEN IF I SET THE STERIO MIX VOLUME TO 0 IT STILL RECORDS
THIS WAY. I'M USING A SOUNDBLASTER PCI CARD, WINDOWS XP PRO, JAWS6 AND THIS
PROBLEM DOESN'T HAPPEN WHEN I RECORD WITH THE LINE IN SETTING.
If you're using the microphone, you may need to turn off the 20db boost in
the advanced settings for the microphone on the recording properties page
of the volume control.
