When you rip a CD, you are extracting the audio from it. You'd use a
program like CDEX to get a digital copy of the audio. When you burn a CD,
you are putting stuff onto a CD.

If you want to play the CD in any player, you'll need to burn it as an audio
CD. Many of the new players do have the capability of playing mp3 CDs, but
not all do. Essentially there are two kinds of CDs, audio and data discs.
Audio CDs hold up to 80 minutes of music and can be played in all

You shouldn't have any problem if you burn them to a CD-R. If you use a
CD-RE, though, things are more problematic.
