Well I have audacity installed, but haven't spend the nescesary time
building all the key strokes you'd need to get the most out of this program.
But it is ok with jaws, but nothing more then that.

Yeah I use Goldwave also. One of he things I dislike very much about
Audacity is the way you can go in to Effects in Goldwave and just choose say
for instance 5 second echos.

How do you tell audacity how to start a selection let's say at a
specific point and how to stop the selection. Does anybody find this
program useful? I normally use a program called fast edit which does cost
a little but I wouldn't mind

Hi, does anyone know how I can change the pitch in Audacity to make the file
one octave higher than it originally was? I don't understand how to do it.

I don't have audacity now but when I had it it said that the pitch change
only worked with each track. so I guess you would have to change the pitch
of each track an octave.

I would disagree with you. They are trying to make it accessible as
much as they can but you have to speak up they can't read minds. So if
something is unaccessible they are open for you to tell them that.

they have left and right bracket support and many keystrokes. If you
