Some versions of Sound Forge have an append checkbox in the open dialog. If
you have that option, check it and
each file you open will be appended.

possible with Goldwave, GoldWave has other issues.

I am trying to record a music track which I'm playing myself on a soprano
recorder. I got a sound-file with a piano-song and I want to mix these two
together. But when I mix something goes down. The flute doesn't follow the
rhytm in the piano-file. If I record it live then nothing is

Ok, well that's completely up to you of course but I prefer to set
that combo box so that I can record directly from whatever sound
device I want rahter than through that Microsoft Sound Mapper which
can sometimes cause problems,.

I am trying to split a lartge file based on the silence between phrases. In
this case, a two second gap would represent chapter breaks. In Goldwave, this
is easily accomplished; however, I don't seem to be able to accomplish this by
using the Auto Region creation in SF 8.
