Thanks Alan,
that was so much fun trying to guess what stuff was from the hyperlink!

I've been reading over the instuction manual and it
states the requirements are 4 AA alkaline batteries.
Does anyone on the list have experience using Lithium

problems (ie damage to the pack) using lithium AAs?
Thanks.

My weekend's been sucked up with computer upgrades/moves for my family - Mom
and Dad get a new PII 350 while I get the headache of transferring all the
hard drive and other equipment out of the old Pentium 200mhz and into the
new box - They also get my flatbed scanner

Why expensive? There are some, like me, who would go for a moderately
priced new Pentax SLR. If I wanted expensive I would go for the 645 or the

Jim,
There are moderately priced, new, SLRs available now. A
titanium SLR that matches the Limited lenses in build quality
and appearance would be a welcome addition, in my estimation.
However, a titanium DSLR that matches the Limited lenses would
be even nicer. I just wish the black Limited
So many people wish that these lenses were available here. Why not just
buy the items from Japan? It's an international marketplace these days,
and ordering from Japan is not much more difficult than buying from BH

If it were that simple, I would have already done it. The hard
part is finding a Japanese source willing to ship to the US and
having an easy mode of payment.

Len,
It's not at all difficult. Check out my site and look for the subject

Hi!
I just shot an SMC Pentax-F Zoom 70-210 mm from ebay. I was surprised and glad
that it arrived yesterday. Just in time for Whitsuntide - time to try it out.
But the disappointment followed when I unwrapped it: it had fine hairs of
fungus on an inner lens, wonderful enlarged by the front lens.
Hi Bernd,
If the fungus has not (yet) managed to eat itself into the glass, it can
be cleaned completely. However, zooms are very difficult to disassemble
and to assemble, so it is a wise decision to give the lens back.
Cheers,
Boz

Frank,
Next weekend will be a 3 day holiday in the USA...Memorial Day.
It is 'our' first weekend of summer - like Canada, but a slightly different
calendar!
Now tell me how summer arrives earlier for you folks than for us? g
Picnic's and family outings will be the order of the day next Monday.
Good job of informing those not lucky enough to live in Canada, Frank! Don't know
about fireworks (here they fire them off at Halloween, oddly enough), but I'll be
checking out the parade tomorrow. The Victoria Day parade in Victoria ought to be
worth seeing. I might even bring both the

Hey, Bob,
I don't know how we get summer first. Maybe we're more polite? vbg
Usually May 2-4 is nice and warm - not enough so for the beach (the water'd be
too cold anyway), but warm enough for the cottage or a picnic, or camping. Not
this year, though. We actually had a few flakes of snow
