Why do you need to use the aperture ring with an FA lens mounted on a Z1p?
Set the lens to A and use the aperture dial on the body.
There are 3 reasons that I do that:
1) I use DOF preview frequently and the mechanical DOF preview of Z-1p
doesn't work when the lens is set to 'A'.
2) Some

I didn't like the side mounted flash due to location of shadows on the
sides of heads.
The pro is that the camera feels better balanced when the heavy flash was
mounted right above the grip.

I just got my first roll of pictures back after buying this lens, and the
two shots I took with it are vignetted in one corner (completely black, not
just dark). Another shot is fine. I was using a standard 52mm Hoya UV
filter on it at the time. Do any of you who own this lens have similar
Vignetting would occur equally at all corners, so, unless you have a
very odd lens and filter, you've probably not experienced vignetting.
I've not experienced the problem using B+W filters on my lens, and I
believe B+W filters are a little thicker than the Hoyas. You didn't say

Pass it up. It's a lower-quality lens, lacking more than the SMC
coating. (It also lacks an ED element, I believe).
Havn't got any messages the last couple of days...
Now I don't even get a confirmation on the resubscription...
Would someone bother to confirm this to [EMAIL PROTECTED] if it gets

Thanks.

I have a case for my 280T. It' not a hard case that would protect it in a
camera bag. Had not one come with the 280T when I bought it new I wouldn't
be looking for one.

Some mailing lists have a NO MAIL option that you can set if you don't
want to get the mail but do not want to unsubscribe. I'm not even sure if
the PDML has such a feature but you might want to check into it. The only
advice I can give in regards to this is to unsub and then resub.

Hey gang...

Two things I miss, having moved from
PZ-1p to MZ-S:
1. Dial-in fill flash with the built in and/or external flash;
2. Off-set rather than centered flash hot shoe.
I also found the PZ-1p a bit easier to program wrt bracketing shots.
The MZ-S is faster, quieter, and a bit more comfortable in my

Check for impact or warping damage. When I suspect misalignment or

Stan,
I have similar feelings. I never did fill flash with the built in
flash so the AF360FGZ has been doing about the same duty for fill
flash. But, like you, if Pentax had not made the MZ-S, I would still
be quite happy with the PZ-1p.
