laptop is my next planned purchase. Most come with warranty if you buy from
the right seller, but be sure to check that they come with working batteries

In case somebody is interested in those repair stories, here is what I found
out: The two screws that hold frame counter and transport lever DO have left
hand thread, there is a little ball under the film reminder thingie on the
left that CAN be lost and, best of all, the flash shoe is screwed to t
SMC Takumars work like ordinary Takumars on the *ist D - stop down in M or
AE.

Could you go into a little more detail concerning your test of the
FA 20-35/4 and the F 17-28 fisheye? Those are two lenses I have been
considering for my *istD.
I have used the Fisheye zoom on film cameras so would be interested to
know if it performed about on par with your previous film
Of course, we could be Ann and Adelheid in the king and let the 3 guys fight
over the 2 remaining beds. Or, we could put 3 guys in the king, and Ann and
Adelheid on the other 2. The sure thing is that Phyllis and I get one of

Unless you are intending to do macro, don't get a macro. There have been
several version of the Nikon 180/2.8. They are wonderful for people and give
great out of focus backgrounds. The MF ones aren't very expensive used. (you
could probably get one with a matching body for $500) The throat dia.
Older automatic flashs give you 1, 2, or 3 possible f-stops. The smaller f-stops
give you less distance. You set the selected f-stop on the camera to the one the
flash gives for that film. When there is enough light the flash shuts off. It
give correct exposure as long as you are no beyond the m
