I use the Wacom Graphire2, that is a small one as well, 3.5x5" or 9.5x12.5cm.

What about a Microtek ArtixScan 1800f. It is a film scanner but only
1800dpi.
Or what about a Canon Canoscan 5200F (it is 2400x4800 dpi) ?

Open PS Camera Raw and open RAW image
(I just clicked on the file)
Click on OK - File opens in PS window
Use File > Save As
Choose TIF or PSD from drop down menu
That's all there is to it. Works for Nikon NEF Files as well, and probably
others.
