I owned the FA31/1.8 Limited. I found it an excellent performer overall, but several things about it annoyed me (size, weight, the clumsy fixed lens hood, the irritating lens cap). I sold it and later bought the FA35/2. The latter is 1/3 the price and 95% as good a performer as the 31

G'day Boris, Not particularly. It needs something like a couple of glasses of ice water or beer with condensation trickling down them. It's a technically fine picture that IMO is spoiled by the filters effect. BTW, I find the easiest way to convey heat, is to take a picture of a thermometer.

The DA 16-45 has been on the camera and in almost constant use for a little more than week now. Overall, it's a pretty decent lens, but, imo, not worthy of the praise it's received here. It's fine for portraits, some landscapes and scenics, and even works nicely with close-ups and macro shots.
