I'm not sure if I like it as much, but I'm open to thoughts about it ...
In a few million years the pyramids will be weathered to less than hillocks;
iron, even stainless steel, will oxidize to dust; micro-organisms will have
eaten rubber and plastic; glass will have been smoothed to pebbles; little
recognizable as an artifact will remain. For example not too long

I agree with Joe, though, about the chain competing for attention with
the trees. I think a tighter crop on the chain - say the middle three
links - would have been more effective.
