I don't see how this could be a welcome _back_. Ricoh GXR is still my
everyday take everywhere camera. Pentax K-5 will remain my camera of
choice whenever DSLR specialties are required.
I should say that I am 100% happy about my choice to sell DA*
16-50/2.8 and replace it with a pair of Sigm

Those are really nice - very painterly in color, tone and composition...
(Excluding color re the mono shot.) I spend a lot of time driving
through rural areas throughout the Midwest but never manage to actually

Mark, if you plan to visit the classical Italian Cities do not forget
to carry a SWA Lens like the Sigma 10-20. The streets are pretty
narrow and you will suddenly find yourself in a huge square with very
tall monuments, Churches and Towers which the standard 16 or 18 mm
lenses cannot cope with. I
