Did the guy on the bike have to pay a toll?
Toll roads around here are very rare indeed. There used to be an old toll
booth at the entrance to the Lyttelton tunnel but it was either never used, or
decommissioned once the tunnel had paid for itself. It stood there until an
earthquake occurred

That’s very cool but I don’t think I’d have the patience to use it. I have
enough trouble casting shadows on my subjects with the FA 100mm Macro. I could
only imagine the struggle with something that physically wide at 4.7mm distance!
Kudos to them for using cats in their sample photos, too :D

More great images, Rick. I did further research - the canal bypasses the
city centre via a formidable series of locks. You'd need to be very fit to
tackle that lot. The water level at the weir is maintained by a sluice. I
see canoeists shoot the weir.

I've only seen the aurora once, in about 1970 in New Hampshire--never since.
There were rippling curtains of these colors, plus white, racing across the
sky. Amazing.
