shutter speeds/ manual colour balance options as well.
Cons? Poor macro range and no focus assist.

of the window- in future, I'll be concentrating
on making fewer exposures but will spend more time on preparation (lens selection,
viewpoint, composition, exposure etc.) for the shot rather
than increasing the gross number of shots.

Been reading a lot about the mirror whiplash on the 67 and the weight problem and since
at times, I don't pack a tripod into my hiking kit, this may be a deciding factor.

Yup; the Varimagni fits perfectly.
I suggest you try out a demo before buying one; this finder creates an inverted
image which is a little disturbing at first.
Or do all right-angled finders do this?

While leafing through an old POP Photo (April 01) I noted that they had
a single page write-up on the MZ-S in which it was described as
Titanium bodied.

reserve- sort of: the fencing is only 8'-0 or so high and I've SEEN these cats
casually leap over 10' in a single bound. The rangers are the smart guys; they won't
go near the place until it's near noon!

Yeah, I know late morning would have been great for such shots but that
was not possible here.

don't just
go to a camera store; you first find a reliable importer, order, wait
for months
and then pay incredible duties (upto 75%) on the basic prices. Kinda
makes you appreciate
the camera a lot more when it finally arrives :-)
