It has been a year (?) since I sold my last PZ-1p, so my memory may be off, but I believe that I was getting 35-40 rolls of 36 exposure film with each battery change. I used flash often (25-30%?), power-zoom very often, and occasionally forgot to turn off the switch. If your battery usage is

:-( That could be a reason. I also don't use flash more than 20-25% of the times. No power zoom and no mid-way film rewind. Just one possibility that my batteries are poor quality. I use Sanyo 2CR5 batteries that are probably smuggled (imported?) into India via the south-east Asia route perhaps.
