Don't know about the Nikon but the Canon cannot be compared to the Pentax. The Pentax

logic. Are you saying that the presence of an actual upgrade path is
a bad thing? If so, then this can be applied to any of the Big Four.
It's generally more cost-efficient to upgrade one body than to switch
systems.

I am not sure, but if the price is based in the UK, the the actual street
price in the US should be significantly lower. I doubt Pentax would price
the new body above USD1,000. They should know better than us.
