This issue was one of the reasons that I picked up digital when I did. The labs here (Sacramento) had largely moved to digital and were scanning and printing my 67 negs. The scans were not that good, just what the Agfa D-Lab or Fuji Frontier can do. So my MF size advantage was largely lost unless

The DNG Converter that comes along with ACR 3.1 is usable with PSCS. Unfortunately, ACR 3.1 is not ;-(( I don't know if there's any substantive difference between the DNG program that comes with ACR 3.1 and the one that came with ACR 2.4, but it certainly can't hurt to have the latest version. S

One substantive difference is that DNG Converter v3.1 saves *all* maker notes and other miscellaneous stuff in the PEF file. Photoshop doesn't use the maker notes, though. It also produces a larger, better quality JPEG preview in the DNG file. ACR 3.1 is compatible with PSE3 because it only

On a more serious note, the 5n finder has enough correction to allow me to focus without wearing my glasses. It would be great if the DS allowed that as well. It's got enough for my eyes. I guess it depends on how much correction you need, sans glasses. Godfrey

I lost one eyecup (eyeglasses protector? it doesn't seem much like a cup to me ;-) from my DS ... the replacement ($30!) fits more snugly than the original, and the second DS body's is snugger too. A little rubberband place around the piece and the bottom edge of the eyepiece will keep it f
