Walt, I love the mood, the light and the girl's casual pose. But while
the soft-focus lends a dreamy air, I'm bothered by the sharp, in-focus
grass a few feet beyond the subject. I think that soft-focus works
best when the entire scene is diffuse rather than merely shifting the
focus plane back.

I did get some shots in that spot where she's looking at the camera.

Looks like the crop is the biggest flaw
anything. But who knows, it might not work and you'll
prefer this framing.

A nice moody pensive shot. If this is who the young lady is, and this is how
she wants others to see her, then I think you can claim success.
I'll offer a couple of things to think about for next time.
First, I am bothered by the open space to the left of the tree. I think the
