The lighting is what really caught my eye. I walk past this scene
quite often and have always thought there was a picture there with the
strong texture of the bark. This time, the light was right for it.

the vertical better. It feels just a bit on the dark side to me. I
took the liberty of playing with it a little bit. Using curves I
brought up the darker areas a bit - enough to see some detail - and
didn't feel
