After three service calls in two years
When my neighborhood was finally wired for real fiber, I canned my
copper-pair landline and moved entirely to VoIP. Through the magic of
number portability I kept my ages old phone number as the primary VoIP
number.
It's all very amazing now, with multiple simultaneous calls in and
out, call-scree
I was able to keep my old phone number which was precious because of
things it is connected to and it starts with 212
:-)

I was bummed when I had to drop m
I kept our rotary phone in case we need to make a call during a power
outage. Mostly decoration now but still works, just cant press one for
