That is the one that I usually use. As for heads, I use the 3229 with quick release - It is small, light, inexpensive and gets the job done. Generally for most movements (other than vertical) I just move the pod a bit. So only when shooting vertical do I have to adjust the head. Works

I don't believe in any monopods except very good heavy duty ones. I did a couple of dog agility trials just because I stumbled across them. Found that in most cases a zoom in the 80-200/2.8 range seemed to be fine. So even a light monopod would support it but it would often interfere with panning
