I don't mind them posterized, ann. Adds an element of timelessness,
abstractness, universality. I often do it to my own. But you do have that

times but usually with my color shots from the drag strip. Things like
clouds and smoke, etc seem to work best for me with this process. Another

posterization is used mostly to save uninteresting and or poorly exposed
photographs. In this case you don't have either problem. I also think it
works better on color images with subjects that require little detail to

I really enjoyed the images - wry and interesting
compositions. Manhattan Cafe is my favorite.
WRT to the posterizing - I don't really care for it.
In some cases the effect seems to be subtle, but I
would expect larger images, especially prints, would
display it much more pronounced.
If you want
great photos, some of them gave me a great laugh but they are all
fantasic photos - not just quick shots of funny signs but also
well-composed. :o)
