. Am I right in thinking
that
if I use A-type lenses off 'A' I can only use them on M and also have

press the green button?
Yes.

apologize if these questions have already come up, but I only rarely find
time to read more than a few postings to this list.

I am considering getting one, although I would like to see what the second

going to wait a bit to see what

teased us with. Enough of this APS in 35mm, 35mm in 645 crap.

I really like that feature on my Sony. It allows me to shoot a big TIFF and also a
small
JPEG for a quick view of the frame in the PS browser window or for a quick run through
in
other software without having to wait for the big TIFF files to load. It gives me a
quickie
email file should that

Hi Steve ...
I'm looking at the current model - or perhaps the less expensive one
mentioned here earlier - as a replacement for my 4mp Sony and as a
supplement to my film cameras. Personally, I don't see a need for a larger
sensor or higher pixel count ... of course, that may change should I

The FF sensor issue is a question of cost plain and simple. I doubt
Pentax will come out with a 2000+ USD camera, and will use whatever
sensor falls in this range for their high end DSLR. The higher end
market will be C and N. I'm also pretty sure that Pentax's efforts will

Why do you think I'm asking all these questions, Boris me lad? I can see the
istd as a supplement to the leica and the mx/lx bodies, and as a replacement
for the sony digi i'm now using. i do like a lot about the digi concept, yet
there are times film works better for me. and while i like the

I was rather waiting for a price drop as I knew I could live with
this shortcoming by unscrewing the K and M lenses. Still, it is a
better camera
I'm considering it as well. Most of my Pentax 35mm lenses are K
versions. I could use the *istD for some of the work I do as well as
for personal photography. I might be able to use it for a lot of the
work I do with res up software. On my day job I use photos taken by
other people. Clint
