Hi, Mark,
I can't explain it. Or maybe I can, but I'm just too tired.
Or, more likely, I'm just a weird guy...
cheers,

I find this kind of weird. Whether or not an item has a reserve has no
effect at all on whether I bid or how much. eBay doesn't charge me
anything for bidding! I wait until the last moment and bid the

Hi, Keith,
I don't want a steal, but I know what I want to pay for something, and I don't want
to pay more. Is that a bad thing?
A seller has the right to start an auction at whatever price he/she wants. They have
the right to put whatever reserve they want on it. I don't begrudge them that.
Humm. Some good advice from those who responded, thanks folks.

Excellent advice all around, Patrick!
If an item has a reserve on it, I usually don't bid. Why bother? I'm looking
for a bargain, not something with a reserve set at around the KEH price!
That's doubly true if it has a BIN and a reserve, since the reserve is
inevitably set at the same price as
