paint. I have the same horn with the original paint and it comes in two
pieces just like the early phonograph horns did.

from Edison, I spoke to a man who had a Home D that was in mint condition, he
said it would not play in two or four minute and he trouble shot the problem to
an improperly machined area and was only able to get it to
of 19th C. british coins. It's fun to take a
worn 1816 George III shilling think of its history, perhaps it was in the
pocket of Handsome Jack Aubrey (yeah- RIGHT!) Suffice it to say, I'm not
picky about condition.

I think the first Edison reproducers for the business phonos were identical to
the regular ones, but did not have lettering. The later ones have shorter
sound tubes. If anyone has information on early business phono reproducers or
recorders I would be interested.
