Hello: I am practicing with a standard 4 x 5 film holder and the film I have is thinner than normal. I am having a great deal of trouble getting the film out of the holder without kinking it. I guess having fingernails might help...what do you folks do? Thanks Murray

I really like the mat board strip idea - if you use a piece with the bevel cut, you could glue it upside down (as a 'reverse bevel' would look on framed artwork), so the bevel would be raised to 'catch' the film/paper. Murray

f results and a slight variation in input suddenly bumps the output to a new value...changing pinhole diameter from 0.26 to 0.27 mm shouldn't change optimal f.l. from 25.4 to 50.8 mm. This what I used to come up with 0.25 mm for 38 mm f.l on my 35 mm conversion maybe I need to go find my slide rule? Murray

Hello: An engineer once told me 'twist' drills make a hole that is actually slightly egg-shaped, but a reamer makes a round hole...reamers probably don't com ein sizes that needles do, so needle is probably best (assuming they are round!) Murray
