Thats a good point that I forgot to mention - I have the MIP reload
interval set to 0. I see no reason to have it set otherwise, unless you
are frequently adding new music to MIP and having it analyzed.I've
found also that having Slim get updates from MIP frequently can on
occasion lead to
Which version of Music IP are we all using ? I'm on the latest beta -
1.6rc.4.
I also have my reload interval set to 36000 (i.e once a day). Didn't
have any luck deleting the cache and forcing a rescan in the way that
Chris describes last night (although a lot more of my songs were

Hi Oscar,
I think the problem is that the SlimScrobbler download for 6.5 is
completely out of date (built on 9th April).
You need the latest version from CVS

After upgrading the slimserver.exe software to 6.3 and also upgrading
the SB3 firmware as requested, I can no longer use the play button on
the remote to play an XM station. I have to hit the play button, the
SB3 will say very briefly connecting and then nothing happens. If I
hit the pause
Previously when XM worked, did you have under Filetypes Windows Media

Is it still disabled after upgrade ?

Greetings,
Rather than start a new thread, I thought Id tag along here.
First, I want to thank Michael Herger and other generous souls for
sharing their work and knowledge. I am perpetually amazed by how
easily we can learn so much from each other thanks to this medium.

Thanks for the replies. I never use the slimserver web interface - if
I'm sat at my PC I'd just go to the BBC webpage.
One option could be a browse schedule menu time on AlienBBC which
would parse the schedule pages like this one:

Just stick
I'll try to keep it a little shorter... and will re-arrange plans and
facts:
- Have an NAS-type device that will be accessible for read/write
operations from Windows XP machines on my home network (digital
photos and music, shared and backed-up document storage).
- I don’t know
Thank you very much, Michael. I will look into both contribs and clark

Would my original scenario be viable if I installed additional RAM, or
would you still recommend a different approach?
I appreciate your help very much.

SlimCD just needs a lot of manual work if you really want to use it
headlessly. There's eg. no Samba configuration - therefore no way to
access the machine on the network
I know, but the issue is I don't want to use softsqueeze!
This squeezeslave sounds good although I can't get it working either
over the Internet, having forwarded ports etc. Not sure if it's meant
for that.

A better starting point from a programming point of view would be this

It is the print page so it has fewer decorations.
However I'm not sure what you expect to happen next once you have a
program name and a time - that
