would like the name of that artist displayed in the browse PWD:
Custom Browse / Covers / Songs By Covering Artist / {artist}
I had the menu name set to Original Artist (should have been Cover Artist).

Just to make sure I am not crazy, I tried again in windows (also
slimserver 6.5.2). Equalizing then works fine :P
But I really want to run slimserver on linux so I'll keep battling this

Peter, just an update, I have tried installing version 1.16 and there is
no change - i.e. the delay still exists.
I have just enabled debugging as you requested. I will post my findings
tomorrow morning.

What's the syntax for the Path to iTunes Music setting? When I put a
file prefix, it replaced the whole file name. I want, for example,
/media/music/XYZ/Track blah.mp3 to change to D:/Music/XYZ/Track
blah.mp3.

Radio. I guess the stations such as BBC1, BBC2, BBC 3, BBC4, BBC5, BBC6

I did know a track would be added to playlist but not played so I have
been testing in this way - by playing the album and as the second track
is in the Zapped list waiting to go to the third track. Also I have the

I have a remote that I would like to use with my DVD-player.
Unfortunately the remote and the DVD-playe doesn't match.
I hope to be able to let the SB receive the signal from the remote,
send it to my Slimserver that

Hi Claus
First you need to find out if the remote you want to use is recognized
by the player at all. You can check that with the IR Learning Wizard.
Second you need to get the correct ir commands for your DVD player.
Hopefully you can find it on www.lirc.org.
Third you need to extend IR Blaster
If you're thinking of getting a DAB radio, be careful. There are
current trials with DAB+, a system using the AAC+ codec (rather than
MP2). This will be much better - this is a codec that is designed to
work at the 128ish bitrates that are common, whereas MP2 is designed
for ~256kbps, which it

running on 2 computers on my network. Have added the Serverswicher to
both. Each player shows the Server Swicher under Home/ Server
Settings/ Plugins and the box is checked. But neither server
recognizes the other.

Trying to get Alien BBC working with no success so far.
I've installed AlienBBC using AlienBBC-v1.06_6.5.exe onto a machine
runing XP MCE and slimserver 6.5.2. I've allowed Mcafee firewall to use
slimserver, mplayer and socketwrapper.
I ***think*** it has installed correctly as the mplayer test
The menu parts of AlienBBC are Perl files - it is possible they have
been installed in the wrong directory.
1. Are there RTSP entries in Server Settings/FileTypes ?
2. Assuming you have used the default directory name settings. Do you
