I managed to knock up a new slimserver interface at the weekend. It
still needs some morre work but it's at the 50% mark.
Frustrated with the slow response of slim server running on a qnap and
the lack of album art when using browse music folder I desiged a new
web interfrace.

I had to reset and change my password at xmradio.com. I went to the SS
Plug-ins/Internet Radio page to change my password. There's a dialog
box to change my userid and text indicating where I should be able to
enter my password but there's no dialog box there, so I can't figure
out how to update m
I've just recently installed slimfx and its ease of use has finally
motivated me to work on rebuilding my playlists from my old DELL
digital DJ. So, like everyone else has said, thank you gsamsa for
sharing your work!
I've only got one question, and hopefully its just me being a bonehead.
When I
James,
I've downgraded to 7.4.3.1 (which was the version of iTunes I installed
when I did my Vista upgrade) and everything is fine. The latest version
of iTunesUpdate is installed on to 6.5.4 of Slimserver and all is
working fine.
I'd say there's definitely a reason to be scared of 7.5!

Thanks - I ran the specified tests manually and couldn't recreate the
problem so I then ran the "Install pack for SlimServer 6.5" to get the
menu-driven tests [and The Archers] and all now seems to be working.
It may be that I last had AlienBBC running under Slimserver 6.2 or 6.3
and needed the 6
Yes that would make a difference. As long as I get the correct IR

The plugin doesn't really stop the volume from changing, it just resets
it each time there's a volume command.
So
* plugin gets a 'volume 50' command from Jive
* fixed volume is 60, so this must be a change down
* sends volume down IR command
* generates a 'volume 60' command to reset the volume
I have not tried what you wrote but,
Lets say the newvolume is at 70 and I want to lower it, I do not
believe that can happen happen since it is greater than the fixedvolume
ergo up will be set to 1 reaining it.

This was annoying me as well, and no response from Felix to my earlier

Is anyone else seeing this? You're the first person to report it so
far.
Are there any errors in the SlimServer log? Anything about being unable
to open iTunes?
I'm still using 7.2, there's been no reason to upgrade so far, and I'm
still hoping they'll change their minds about fiddling with the d
If all network streams are affected then it is likely some sort of
network problem. The difficulty is trying to find the problem as it
could be anywhere from your broadband connection to a BBC server
problem.
Can you run the standalone test again which can be run when installing

James,
If you're out there I thought you'd like to know that the latest
iTunes release appears incompatible with the update plugin.
I thought at first I had a corrupt library, but after several attempts
to get it working including reinstallation of SlimServer and the Update
plugin I have re

Actually, I never use AlienBBC to listen to stations live, only to
Listen Again. I have just tried Radio 4 live and the same thing

I can confirm that there is no "bandwidth" option in the

Do you still have problems with mplayer ?
I assume that's why it's not playing.
What version of Slimserver/Squeezecenter ?

If you had difficulty extracting the "right" mplayer from the dmg - you
could try the executable in post 9 of this thread:
http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.
The most common cause of this problem is the "-bandwidth 1000"
option to mplayer in the custom-convert.conf file. This "bandwidth"
affects "Listen Again" in all cases and only in a very small number are
live stations affected.
If the live stations play OK but "listen again" stop - then it v
Hi group,
Quick question - I've got a Synology DS107+, with firmware
"Firmwareversion: 2.0.3 - 0514".
On the SSODS page(http://oinkzwurgl.org/ssods), it says:
1. that SSODS will possibly not run on newer firmwares than on the
firmware versions indicated above (especially beta firmwares),

Thanks for the prompt response, unfortunately it hasn't changed
anything. Are there other things I can try?

Save the custom-convert.conf file in the Alien directory.
Rename the "alt" conf file to custom-convert.conf and then restart and
see if it helps.

Hi folks
Quite a small question here. I use Music Information Screen to control
the display on my squeezebox. I use it to display the file extension in
the top right corner. Via AlienBBC for my own radio streams it will
display ASF, MP3 and sometimes nothing, However for BBC streams it
shows a ma
I run Alien BBC on SlimServer (v6.5.4 - 12568) under Windows Home

have recently upgraded to the release version of Windows Home Server,
