Did you ever solve this? I have the same problem. It happens both with
the iTunes Update plugin or the iTunes export module in the Custom Scan
plugin.

I think I have tracked down a lot of my server problems to the setting
in Custom Scan -> MusicIP Export Module -> dynamically update
checkbox. With this checked, I lose connection to my server for several
seconds every time a rating is changed. I also have problems with iPeng

Just to eliminate network issues, I installed a clean debian install
into a VirtualBox running on my main LMS. I then installed the Spotify
plugin, connected my Squeezebox and started streaming... And I had no
issues at all. It is a tiny little VM running on a much larger box that

Silly me, on the server IP i only entered the IP, not the port.
Added :9000 to it, works like a charm.
I bought it straight away, by far the best i've used so far.
Cant wait for the Windows 8 version :D

I try to understand why some mp3 files don't have sound with localplayer
