Hey Triode - thanks for this - will be giving it a good kick about with
an eye to comparing to the inbuilt Napster app and playlist
functionality. Big immediate plus is Spotify's support/recognition of
album play, rather than just artists or tracks.

SBS. Under Music Library you should see a new option "MusicIP Mood Mix"
and under that "Happy". Clicking Happy will give you a mix based on all
of the songs in the playlist.

What version of Squeezecenter are you running? 7.1?
There is a 'just resolved bug'
(http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=8172) which sounds exactly
like what you are experiencing, but only affects 7.1 branch AFAIK.
Downloading the latest 7.1 nightly should resolve this.
You need to look at the tracks in Album, Artist, Genre view or similar.
MIP does not work on Browse Music Folder view - could that be the issue?

You have to create the filter in the MusicIP GUI first. Right click in
the GUI, create filter, and then define your conditions. We have
filter Siduhe (all songs in my music folder) and Mr Siduhe (all songs
in his) so that we can generate mixes from only our own tracks if we

Turning off the API in the user interface would have been the key thing
that sorted the problem out. If you are trying to use MIP headless,
the API needs to be free to communicate with the headless server.

James/Phil, just to say that I ran James' Last.fm plugin
(Squeezescrobbler 1.0.6) for a few hours yesterday on an XP box with no
major problems. One crash when changing stations (which is par for the
course in my experience) but no other problems with streaming or
love/skip/ban.

James, your version of the plugin is working fine for me (XP) with SC7
and I've been using it pretty regularly over Christmas. Will have a
try this evening and report back.

users with various degrees of skill and experience (me included). I
don't think anyone would seriously withhold a solution if they thought
it would help.

sicIP, but some people do have problems getting
it to work nicely with Slimserver. You can download the free version,
let it analyse some of your music, and have a go.
