Actual audio is output or just the clock increments. The incrementing
clock is a GUI artefact started after Play is pressed and no connection
to audio processing.

Well spotted. I had changed that setting a while ago after reading
another post. I have changed setting back, restarted LMS, and BBC
iplayer now starts playing VBR, AAC SBR but stops after about 5 seconds.

It was just by way of explaining why I haven't yet posted any log data
for the iPlayer plugin issue (see previous posts).
Yes - this log is a media scan. iPlayer plugin does nothing that needs
or triggers a scan.
THis could eb a scheduled scan or if system is setup to scan when a new
file is notified.

Login only when accessed via a third party - the plugin is not a third
party - it access BBC

The "Audiobooks" format seems to be selective and not comprehensive -
for example - "Becoming by Michella Obama" is a Book of the Week.

Strange - the brand "Book of the Week" the Extra plugin finds seems to
be different to the one the BBC Web interface uses.

IIRC I can't play 5 live sports as it is usually UK limited so all I can
