OK I reinstalled tonight and now it seems to work. Only thing I might
have done differently is leave the cache enabled. Strange but good news.

I moves my LMS install onto a new server running Windows Home Server
2011 and on trying to install the plugin, I'm finding the password won't

OK - but its a totally different fault and entirely between libspotify
and spotify's servers + the network in between. Nothing I can do to fix

That's intentional - otherwise the password would be stored and carried
in plain text back to the browser. The thing of interest is the helper

'debug' from the helper app logging. BOOM, instant log in now!
