A nice side-effect of the new bitrate display:
It shows very nicely, how the complexity of the music reflects itself on
the file size!
It also explains why mp3 isn't ideal for classical music at all. The
more instruments, the more complex the sound the less you cam compress

I'm running LMS on Odroid U3, so it's a Debian/ARM version. I can try
modifying the code. But the stuttering happens only on Squeezebox
Classic/Radio hardware, not my Raspberry Pi players. I would have
thought that you'd have to modify the Firmware to change that. But I'll
see what I can do when

That's why I asked about your server OS: only on Windows there's a
"compiled" version. On all other systems
Whatever it does, it seems to be working. 24/192 streaming still kills
the Radio, but 24/96 did not give me any stutters or rebuffering issues
during a test with several consecutive tracks, some skipping etc.
Only thing I noticed: Controlling things directly on the Radio makes it
go slightly

I had to change the bitrate display because I only know what bitrate is
being used once I got the http headers of the stream. Before that I only
whether it's flac or mp3. Previously I would simply show some static
number. Now it's really calculating file size devided by seconds.

Concerning my earlier question about filtering out non-playable
tracks/albums: This seems to be working more or less now. Playlists
don't seem to stop anymore when they hit an unplayable track, but those
tracks still get displayed, then vanish once the PL hits that track and
skips them.
CPU on my Server is fine, less than 1% load. I think I found a fix
though...
I changed the value here: "use constant RETRY_TIME => 0.10;" (was
at 0.4) and now it SEEMS to be working fine with 24/96 streams. I set
the other value (*16) back to it's original value since it did not
help.
What exactly does that setting do btw?

the Squeezebox Radio classic. It buffers and/or stutters quite badly at
24/96 and can barely cope with 24/88. Not sure whether it's the CPU
running out of steam or the network buffers. I'd guess it's buffer

Qobuz 1.250 is on its way. There's a new option available... to enable
playback of hires flac. Just pick the streaming format you want from
mp3/320, flac, and flac hires (whatever the highest they offer for a
track).
Please consider this experimental. That's why it's disabled by default.

The Squeezebox Radio seems to be able to handle 24/48 without problems.

I think you misunderstood my second request... I did not propose any
major layout change, just replacing the flc, 75 text with the

I think adding an additional selction in settings would handle this
nicely. BubbleUPnP does it that way. You can choose your max. resolution
at either mp3, 44.1khz, 96khz or 192khz.
I have Qobuz Sublim now and tested it with Squeezelite and BubbleUPnP
and it works fine, even over

I think the main changes it would take to implement this are between
line 460 and 520 in API.pm, probably in one of the other files too, but

BubbleUPnP (Android) now has support for Qobuz. This means you can
cast Qobuz music to any DLNA device. It works fine with y Denon AVR
and also with Squeezelite. I can't try it with HiRes streams since I
don't currently have a Sublim subscription.

Qobuz offers hires streaming for hires albums purchased from them and in
your library.
