I just finished this book (Civil War novel), which was damn good, and I was looking in my atlas for Cold Mountain and could not find it. This may be a dumb question, but is there actually a Cold Mountain somewhere in North Carolina? Could anyone from that part of the country help me out

One of the best things that I ever did was to get my mother to start reading Lee Smith. Now we have something to talk about at Thanksgiving. Couldn't get into "Fair and Tender Ladies" or "Family Linen", but "Saving Grace" ruled in Hell. But then again, I'm a sucker for snake handling. Tom Moran
